Nigeria’s aviation ministry says the federal government, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Bi-Courtney and Stabilini Visinoni signed final agreements on Oct. 20 to resolve litigation and competing claims tied to Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal Two (MMA2), the General Aviation Terminal and an associated hotel and conference center.

Under the ministry’s account, Bi-Courtney will waive outstanding claims against the government, while the federal government and FAAN will relinquish specified historical claims. The General Aviation Terminal remains federal property and will continue to be operated by FAAN; Bi-Courtney may expand its apron and operate regional African flights subject to the agreement and operating capacity. Premium Times reported that FAAN has begun receiving revenue from MMA2 under the settlement framework. The practical effects will depend on implementation of the agreed terms.
