Nigeria’s federal agriculture ministry convened state governments, civil-society groups and development partners in Maiduguri on October 5 to coordinate national implementation of the African Union’s Kampala CAADP agenda for 2026–2035.
The ministry said the work will focus on translating the continental framework into national and state action on food security, resilient livelihoods and wider agrifood-system reform. Germany’s development-cooperation mission also publicly backed the coordination effort. The meeting is an implementation step rather than a new funding award, and the government has not yet published a detailed timetable or budget for every workstream.
