Genuine Update wants its journalism to be accurate. Readers, sources, and subjects are encouraged to alert the newsroom when a published item may contain a factual error, misleading omission, broken attribution, or incorrectly credited media.

How to request a correction

Email newsroom@genuineupdate.info with “Correction request” in the subject line. Include the story URL, the statement at issue, the correction you believe is needed, and any document or source that supports the request.

How we review requests

The newsroom reviews the published material and the available evidence. We may contact the requester or another relevant source for clarification. A disagreement with a story's conclusion does not by itself establish a factual error, but substantive challenges are considered on their merits.

How corrections appear

A small spelling, grammar, or formatting repair that does not alter meaning may be corrected without a note. A material factual correction is identified on the story with a visible correction note explaining what changed. A meaningful new development is labeled as an update rather than silently replacing the earlier account.

Serious errors

If the central premise of a story is no longer supported, Genuine Update may substantially revise, retract, or remove the item and publish an explanatory note. Removal is reserved for exceptional circumstances, including legal or safety obligations.
