Fire and Emergency New Zealand chief executive Kerry Gregory has resigned with immediate effect, the organisation’s board chair said Friday. The announcement followed Internal Affairs Minister Brooke van Velden’s public statement that she had lost confidence in Gregory.
The board said it would oversee the transition and appoint an acting chief executive. The publicly available announcement does not establish the details of any further employment process.
